Hello from the other side... I must have drafted a post a thousand times... To tell you everything that I've done... here in Portland... but then I get busy and can't finish my posts. Hello from the outside... At least I can say that I tried... To tell you all the things... but it don't matter because I'm back and we're just going to get to it! ♫♪
Well, that was fun. Hello! How are you? Have you missed me? I missed you!
So much has happened since E was born, but especially since we moved to Oregon. I couldn't seem to ever have a minute to work on photos, write, post to social media, etc., but I'm determined to make it happen. Things are starting to settle down a bit, and I like to think I can get back to doing the things I enjoy. I have quite a lot planned to share with you for the rest of the month, including a new feature, which is specific to the Portland area! For those of you living in/near PDX, you may find these helpful. For the rest of you, hopefully you'll enjoy hearing about/seeing another part of the country. It's so nice to be in an area with so much to offer, and it would be a crime not to share it!
Outside of family life, there are a couple of new things I'd like to share. First, late last year I launched an official business for my crocheted goods. You may have seen me mention it, but in case you haven't, my Etsy shop has been updated to the new business, and I'm working on creating its own website. It's called Eris + Dot, and offers hand crocheted apparel, accessories, and toys. I have a few things posted right now for both made to order and ready to ship, and I have some other summer-friendly items planned for the coming weeks. (I hope to launch the new items in time for the official start of summer.)
The other new thing is....
In Maryland, at the college I was attending, there weren't any nutrition-related programs or degrees unless I wanted to major in Biology and go to grad school with a nutrition specialty, or become a Registered Dietician, which even then there wasn't that option at any of the schools near my area of Maryland. Now that we are in a metro area, on the west coast, there are so many opportunities, especially in the area of holistic medicine. So, I plan to pursue my passion in helping others to heal their bodies through proper nutrition.
Once we have the tuition situation figured out, I'll enroll. In the meantime, I've been using my free time to study what I can. I figure it will help me to have a better "leg to stand on" once I begin classes. Fingers crossed it won't take us too long to afford it.
Anyway, that's all for now. You can look forward to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday post schedule beginning this Monday! I'm pretty excited, and I hope you are too!
I'd love to know what you've been up to these last several months. Share your updates in the comments below!
