Let's Catch Up....

I'm so ready for fall. When searching for an image for this post, I found the one above, and instantly desired brisk morning air, beautifully colored leaves, spicy beverages, and a change in fashion. Fall is my most favorite season, and as July comes to a close, I'm reminded that it's just around the corner. However, fall is not the purpose of this post. Today I want to play catch up with you all and fill you in on why I've been so hit or miss these past few weeks.

I am not a bad blogger.

No, but I am a very pregnant blogger. This is the sole reason why posts have been sporadic. I didn't get a pregnancy update posted last week for two reasons. 1) Hubs and I kept forgetting to take a picture, and 2) things have been crazy from one day to the next 'round here lately. Miss E likes to get everyone riled up for no reason, which makes sitting down to write a blog post difficult. Here's what's been happening with that....

The Baby....

Even if my doctor's weren't talking about inducing me prior to my due date, I firmly believe E will be arriving early on her own. Not only has she been head down for two months, she's been head down and face back for a month, and has landed me in the hospital at least once over the last two weeks with contractions. My cervix was still closed as of Saturday night, so we're just left here wondering what stops she'll pull out next. Our bags are packed and ready to go, so if she decides to surprise us all, we're ready for her!

The only news otherwise I have to share is we find out next week if we'll be induced at 37 weeks or not. 37 or 39, we'll have a baby in 2-4 weeks!

Between multiple doctor's appointments that take several hours each, and a body that is really struggling to handle this stage of pregnancy, my days are spent on the go or laid up on the sofa. I haven't cooked dinner in over a week {my wonderful husband has been taking care of that for me}, so there definitely isn't any recipe experimentation going on here. Even before I took my dinner hiatus, it was a miracle to get anything on the table, let alone something new and time consuming, so that explains the lack of recipe sharing going on.

Don't worry, though... once things calm down, I'll be back in the kitchen and sharing noms with you in no time. In the meantime, be sure to follow me on Twitter to see the recipes I've been sharing from my hours spent Stumbling from my pregnancy station... a.k.a. the sofa.

I'm very limited as to how much I can do in one day. Just going to the grocery store with the help of L had me laid up the rest of the day, and then in the hospital that evening getting my contractions checked out, so that often messes up whatever I had planned for the day blog-wise. With that said, it's kind of hard to run around for supplies and supervise the happenings of craft time, so there hasn't been any aside from the Sidewalk Paint we managed last week. {And as you saw, that was all we managed last week.}

I have a Vacation Checklist I've been meaning to make for weeks now. I don't think I'm going to get it up before vacation season nears a close, and for that I'm sorry. I don't want to promise anything because I have no idea if I'm going to go into labor in five minutes, or be induced in a week, or what. Basically, I have no idea what's going on lately, so I don't want to set myself up for failure. Printables will resume as soon as I'm able, but in the meantime, you can click here to enjoy the printables I've made so far!

Previous Features....

Modern Mom Style and beauty reviews will resume as soon as my body goes back to a somewhat normal state, and I start wearing makeup again. I haven't bothered with any Mom Style posts while pregnant because I don't have an adorable maternity wardrobe, and I'm certainly not feeling cute enough to pose for photos. Makeup almost instantly melts off my face, so I haven't wasted my time or products putting it on. {Another reason why I'm so ready for fall!} They're not gone for good! They will return, I promise!

With regard to general product reviews, they will resume as well! They will most likely be baby-related after Miss E is born, unless I receive something else. We'll get back on track eventually. Having a baby throws everything off track for a little while, and I wouldn't have it any other way. {I'm not complaining! ♥}

Does that cover it all?

I think so. If I left anything out, feel free to ask about it in the comments below. Thank you for your patience while we get through these last few weeks of pregnancy. I'll update as often as possible, but I'm almost always on Facebook and Twitter, so we can keep in touch there if you'd like!

Now that we've talked about me, let's talk about you!

What's up with you? Anything new and exciting going on in your life? What would you like to share?
