Quinoa Spaghetti Recipe — A Modern Mrs.
We're about to make some big dietary changes 'round here {more on that later}, so when I needed to whip up a quick dinner the other night, I opted for tried-and-true spaghetti. However, since we're on the brink of these big changes, I chose a better-for-you type of pasta, as well as organic grass-fed beef and a homemade-ish sauce. As you can tell from the title, I used Quinoa noodles, which is a healthy whole grain, and doesn't contain all the crapola that's in traditional pasta. I must say... this was some of the best spaghetti I've had in a long time, and I'll never buy another jar of pasta sauce again!

I do hope you'll give this a try the next time you make spaghetti, and please, let me know how you liked it!

Quinoa Spaghetti Recipe

  • 1, 8 oz. box Quinoa Spaghetti {I chose Ancient Harvest.}
  • 1 lb. Organic, Grass-Fed Beef, Cooked and Drained
  • 1, 15 oz. can Organic Tomato Sauce
  • 1, 15 oz. can Organic Diced Tomatoes {Or fresh tomatoes cut into chunks.}
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper

  1. Season your ground beef with salt and pepper, then cook thoroughly. Drain and set aside.
  2. While your beef is browning, bring a pot of water to a boil.
  3. Add your noodles to the water, return to boil, and cook per the package instructions, making sure to stir frequently.
  4. Once your noodles are tender, drain and return to your pot.
  5. Add your cooked ground beef, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. {Season as preferred.}
  6. Heat through, stirring frequently.
  7. Enjoy!

  1. The box states 10-15 minutes, which on my range took 15. I honestly didn't notice a flavor difference, but it did seem less starchy... if that makes sense?

  4. Does quinoa pasta take any longer/shorter than traditional pasta to cook? And does it taste noticeably different?
