Paleo Bacon Meatballs Recipe

Paleo Bacon Meatballs Recipe — A Modern Mrs.
Who doesn't love bacon? SIT DOWN, YOU! I kid. I know you love bacon. I do, too, so when I was browsing Paleo-friendly recipes a few days ago, I was excited to see so many featuring bacon in some way. The Bacon Meatballs you see above were one of those recipes. They were super easy to make, incredibly scrumptious {moist and savory with a bit of crunch}, and my photos do them absolutely no justice.

I admit, though, I had no clue what to pair with them. Fellow Paleos, suggestions? I'll take note for the next time I whip these up!

Paleo Bacon Meatballs Recipe

[via PaleOMG]

  • 1.5 lbs. Ground Beef
  • 6 slices Bacon, Cut into 1 in. pieces
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 1 Egg, Whisked
  • 1/4 cup Almond Flour
  • 1 tsp. Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°.
  2. Put a large skillet over medium heat and add your diced bacon.
  3. Once your bacon has rendered some fat, add your onions. Mix together and poke at it randomly to ensure the bacon and onions don't burn.
  4. Once the bacon has cooked through, transfer to a plate with a paper towel to drain and cool.
  5. Add your ground beef to a large bowl.
  6. Add your cooked bacon and onions, along with the egg, almond flour and seasonings.
  7. Using your hands, mix thoroughly.
  8. Roll into little {or big - your preference} balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
  9. Bake for around 10-15 minutes, or until the center is cooked through.
Additional Notes: PaleOMG had a Mango Honey Mustard Sauce recipe to accompany this dish, but I didn't have the ingredients on-hand at the time.
