Deal of the Day: Old Navy Kids & Baby Sale (Extended!)

Deal of the Day: Old Navy Kids & Baby Sale (Extended!) — A Modern Mrs.
I don't know how I missed the original sale announcement, but Old Navy hit my inbox this morning announcing their Kids & Baby Sale had been extended through 2/24. {It was originally set to end yesterday.} Whether you're needing to stock up on some Spring-friendly attire for your littles, or your kid is like mine and just had a noticeable growth spurt, now is the time to shop!

Since I have a seven-year-old girl, I browsed the Girls section and saw quite a few things I liked. Sadly, though, it's slim pickin's in regards to size. Most of the smaller sizes are now sold out, but that's probably a good thing considering I had about 20 things in my cart. {Whoops!} Once I noticed L's sizes were sold out on a few things, I narrowed down my selections to just nine. Three tops, three dresses, and three bottoms. Care to see my picks? Read on!

My Picks from Old Navy Kids & Baby Sale (Extended!) — A Modern Mrs.
  1. Tonal-Stripe Slub-Knit Tee in It Butter Be. ($6.00) This slightly fitted, cotton-poly blend tee is a comfortable-yet-stylish top for those denim and sneaker days. L looks great in yellow, but rarely has anything in the shade, so at just six bucks, I need to pick this up!
  2. Printed V-Neck Tee in Aqua Bath. ($5.00) I was drawn in by the Tiffany-esque, minty color, but the hearts are just too cute! It's 100% cotton with cap sleeves, and a steal at five bucks.
  3. Ruffled-Rosette 3/4-Sleeve Tee in Knight Time. ($15) I thought this top would be great for those in-between temperature days where it's too chilly to expose the whole arm, but too warm for a full-on sweater, and I just love the rosettes! $15 isn't much of a sale, but use the code ONSAVENOW to get an additional 15% off when ordering online!
  4. Drop-Waist Pocket Tee Dress in Orchids Play. ($8) Little girls' style is getting more and more mature lately, so when I saw this drop-waist dress, I thought it offered an innocent appeal. Purple is L's favorite color, and I pictured this paired with some gray leggings {though they aren't necessary}.
  5. Tie-Belt Pocket Dress in Blue Floral. ($15) Do I even need to explain this pick? Adorbs! I thought it was a great seasonal pick, and it would look a-ma-zing on L. Hell, I'd wear something like this!
  6. Drawstring-Flutter Dobby Dress in Goodnight Nora. ($18) I had originally wanted a similar style dress in a light green print, but it wasn't available in L's size, so I chose this instead. It's not bad, really, but I want to get myself out of this rut of buying the same ole thing for her. {She's brunette - she can pull off things I can't, so why do I buy the things I'd go for?} I do love the style, though. Very Summer-y!
  7. Tiered Chambray Skirt in Mid-Tone Chambray. ($19) I'm a huge fan of Chambray when done right. This ruffly skirt is so cute and stylish, and would pair beautifully with a delicate top and strappy sandals!
  8. Cropped Leggings in Sync Pink. ($7.50) Another back-up pick. I wanted the lace-trimmed gray leggings to pair with #4, but they weren't available in L's size, so I went with these. They'll pair with something at some point, and $7.50 is a great price. L loves her leggings!
  9. Belted Skinny Khakis in Rolled Oats. ($12) Let me tell you, Old Navy has some really cute skinny jeans in some awesome shades, but none in L's size, and I really don't want to spend $19 on jeans if I don't have to... so, here we are. Besides, the Girl Scout uniform consists of khakis and a white top, and with this recent growth spurt, she no longer has any that fit! {Oh, these khakis come with a super cute glittery belt, too. /wink}
Man, I love Old Navy! I love a retailer who sells affordable and stylish clothing, offers frequent sales, and the clothes don't fall apart within a week. {I'm looking at you, Kohl's!} If you know what size your kid will need, shop online to get the extra discount, but whether you choose in-store or online, shop!

  1. It's funny to me that you said "I'm looking at you, Kohl's!" about clothes falling apart within a week - my situation is usually the reverse of the one you describe (with ON's clothes - adult size, at least - not standing up to more than one wash cycle).

  2. That's interesting! I'm happy you don't have that problem with Kohl's, but I'm sad you do with Old Navy. /sad face

  3. Doesn't stop me from buying ON though, lol. I LOVE their "tamis" (cami tanks)

  4. That's ME ALL DAY. I have a ton of their old-style camis that DON'T have the built-in, but I had switched to regular tank tops because... yeah those things don't work for me. Ever. But the tamis are nice!
